American Harp Society - Los Angeles Chapter

Continuing our beloved tradition!

Each December, harpers and harpists from all over Southern California (all ages, all levels from beginner to professional) gather to play Christmas, Hanukkah and general-interest music for patients, staff and guests in the lobby of the Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena. Performers are strongly encouraged to be members of AHS-LA; join or renew here!

Once again, our tireless Extravaganza Music Director Elaine Litster will conduct this spectacular ensemble.

All PERFORMERS meet between 11 and 11:15 AM to set up and have a quick talk-through rehearsal. 

The performance is at 12 noon.

It is free for performers and attendees; performers get one free parking pass each
(there is a $6 parking fee for non-performing listeners).

PERFORMERS bring your own harp, stool/bench/chair, music stand and music. The music is arranged for one to four harps; select whichever part you like. Feel free to play one or both hands as ability allows. It is not necessary to play every song; just those you are comfortable with.
