Thank you to the teachers of the participants. Your dedication to their pursuit of excellence is evident in their fine work. And needless to say, thank you to parents and families, who are key to students realizing their serious pursuit of their harp dreams.
Our judges (harpists Paul Baker and Gracie Sprout, and cellist Greg Adamson) were impressed by the quality of performance of each student.
It was a touch of déjà vu for Gracie, who participated in the Finzi auditions as a young person. Now a professional harpist, her experience speaks to the value of this scholarship process, as students learn the skill and rigor of preparation and performance.
And we owe special thanks to Gary and Bonnie Mohr, who graciously facilitated the use of Grace Lutheran Church in Pasadena for the auditions. A beautiful experience!
